It is Monday, and I don’t like Monday to be honest. But to make Monday a bit better here is a post of the contemporary books I want to read. These are books I don’t own yet, and I won’t be naming them all, only 5. Contemporary isn’t a genre I reach to very often. If I read a contemporary novel I would rather not read a ‘standard’ romance contemporary novel, so I am very picky with those kind of books. So here we go!
Books by Morgan Matson
Ever since I started watching BookTube I have found out about Morgan Matson’s books and they sound like an amazing read. So those I would love to read, right now there are four out and the fifth will come out next month I believe. I am the most excited for Since You’ve Been Gone and The Unexpected Everything.
Allegedly by Tiffany D. Jackson
This sounds like a very impactful book, and I am really curious to see how the story will be told and what topics it will touch upon. I thought I would hear a lot about this book on Booktube or on the blogs, but I haven’t heard much about this so far. But I am going to get to it.
Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall
I have only heard great things about this book. Lately I have been looking around to find books about Mental Illnesses, I am very interested in reading from their perspective while dealing with their problems and how that effects them and their surroundings.
We Are Okay by Nina LaCour
As far as I heard this book is about grief and how the main character is trying to cope with the grief she is experiencing. I have been wanting to get to this book as soon as I knew I would come out, but I still haven’t pick it up yet. I have been hear great things about this so far, so I can’t wait to get to this one.
Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda / The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli
I have been hearing only great things about these books. And I have already started reading The Upside of Unrequited and I am enjoying it so far. Now I just need to finish it and continue on with Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda.
