Wrap Up and TBR

Weekly Wrap Up #1

Hello Readers!

So here is a new kind of post I would like to do. I see these Weekly Wrap Ups everywhere lately and I would like to do them as well. This means that there won’t be any more of the monthly Wrap Ups, because then I would just be repeating myself, unless you guys want the Monthly Wrap Ups to stay and then I could make them a Monthly Review. Let me know how you think about that. So there will be 3 categories in these Weekly Wrap Ups: The books I have read, the posts I have posted and my favorites of the week. So let’s begin!

Read Books

Godblind by Anna Stephens

I DNF’ed this book. I was listening to the audiobook for this one and I really couldn’t understand what was going on and why the characters which we were following were important to follow. I couldn’t connect to the characters, there were a lot of characters which were followed and each chapter was another character, but the chapters were very short so it was really hard to connect to the characters. I also missed a lot in the world building, I felt like instead of world building were shocking scenes included and I wasn’t really a fan of it.

Rating: 2/5 stars

The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert

I really enjoyed this book. I listened to this on audio and I really liked the way it was narrated. I loved the writing style and the way the story was told. I loved the fact that fairy tales were included into this and that it were dark fairy tales. The first half of the book was more of a mystery/detective and takes place in our world. Then the main character, Alice, enters the Hazel Wood and we enter a fantasy world.
