Top 5 Wednesday

T5W Books You Wanted To Start Yesterday

Hello Readers!

So this is the first Top 5 Wednesday of June and since there were no topics online when I wrote this, I picked an older one. Since I am in London when you are reading this, I had to write something, so this is the something.

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

There has been so much hype around this book and I own the Hardback for this one, but I haven’t read yet. I do plan to have read it before the end of the year. And Storytel does have to audiobook, so I might listen to it. Has anyone listened to the audiobook, is it any good?

All the books I haven’t read yet by Victoria/V.E. Schwab

I love Victoria Schwab’s writing and I own all the first books of her series, so basically I can read them. But some how I don’t end up doing that. I do plan to read Vicious before Vengeful comes out so that will be happening soon. But I am kind of backing away from beginning series right now because I still have a bunch I still haven’t finished and a bunch of unread standalones on my shelf.

City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty

This is basically the same reason as Children of Blood and Bone. And the audiobook for this one is also in Storytel, so I might listen to this one as well.

The Savior’s Champion by Jenna Moreci

I have no excuse for this… I will get to it this before the end of the year…

The rest of my physical TBR

I have a lot of physical books which I haven’t read yet and to be honest, it is very overwhelming since those are all books I really want to read, but there are also books released which I also really want to read. So I am having some trouble getting through them all and keeping the number of unread books descending instead of ascending.

What books do you wish you started yesterday?

If you would like to buy any of the books I mentioned, you can use my affiliate link for Book Depository. I will get a commission of 5 % and there are no obligations in store for you. It will support the blog, here is the link: http://www.bookdepository.com/?a_aid=DebbiesLibrary

  1. Hi Debbie!
Schwab’s “Vicious” is so, so good. I hope you get to experience it this year because it is a lot of fun with a side of serious questions on morality and power. How many books do you have on your physical TBR? I have around 200 something. It’s so embarrassing. Anyway, I try to read more to finish up series. Sometimes I just lose steam (okay, it’s more of an “a lot of times” kind of situation).

I haven’t heard of Moreci’s writing, so I definitely need to do some research. Tomi Adeyemi is certainly getting a lot of hype. I’m mostly waiting for the book to be more affordable. I haven’t ever tried audio books because I am so not an auditory learner. I hope you enjoy the stories, whichever format you use to you access them.

  2. There are so many books on this list that I haven’t read either but I have been meaning to for so long. I have to read all of Victoria Schwab’s series. I know I will love them but I just haven’t had a chance to get my hands on them.
