My Last Minute Goals for 2020

Hello Readers!

So 2020 is coming to an end and I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything in this year. At the beginning of the year I had created these ideal goals for myself and I had an idolized view of how my life would be right now (I think I always have an idolized view of the future).

Now, we are halfway through October and all those goals I had set for myself caught dust, they were forgotten, they went out of the window. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t create new goals. I have been trying to get the mentality of ‘Carpe Diem’ and to me that means, every day can be a new start. Every day we can start working towards our goals and create new ones, every day we must try and live life and try to enjoy life (in a safe way of course).

But with this in mind I have decided to just have a few goals for myself for the rest of the year. They are small and hopefully achievable for me. So here they are:

  1. Read 52 books

As of this moment I have read 24 books in 2020 and I already set this goal at the beginning of the year. At the beginning of the year, I really thought I could do this and go beyond this goal. But I think no one know what would happen in 2020 and the impact it would have on us. Because of everything I have just been in a reading slump and only now slowly getting out of it. So maybe I can make it, and if not I will just lower my Goodreads goal.

2. Upload 1 video a week on my YouTube channel on a Friday

At the beginning of 2020 I had so many great plans for my YouTube channel (and my blog) and I wanted to work so hard on Debbie’s Library in general. But because of my reading slump and the overall slump I have been experiencing throughout 2020, I just haven’t been able to make any of those plans reality. If I think about it makes me really sad, but I can’t change anything about the past, I can only work hard for the future and that is what I plan to do. I will make small steps and that means 1 YouTube video a week on a Friday.

3. Post 2 blog posts a week on my Blog on a Monday and Friday

In line with the previous goal, I will try to make small steps into getting back into blogging again. I really miss it and now that I am writing this post, it feels so good to be writing for my blog again. This is how Debbie’s Library started and in no way am I ready to leave my blog, my baby. So I am also going to be making small steps for my blog again, to ease my way back into it. Which means a blog post from me every Monday and Friday. And you have permission to yell at me if I forget an post.
